After well over a year of having an official blog for the Open University Virtual Learning Environment Programme I’ve decided that blogging doesn’t work in that context – at least not for me. Having to present an institutional position inhibits the informality and spontaneity which appear to be some of the key features of blogging. The blog bored the pants off me and probably anyone else who stumbled across it. So I’ve scrapped the whole thing and changed the name. Instead I’ll attempt to keep a more personal log of issues that are cropping up in the development and roll-out of the OU VLE – and associated elearning activities I’m involved in.

PS no-one reads these things, you know, even if they do subscribe
Hi Tony: the registering is an attempt to stop spam which overwhelmed the blog the last time I had it switched on!
