Grouchal - must get round to checking out alternative commenting system - had to add current restriction to stop spam.

David - why do you think the paperless office is not going to happen? I've almost achieved it myself and could actually get rid of my filing cabinet. We just need to do away with the need to sign bits of paper.

I agree that an investment in iPads (or similar future devices) could lead to long term cost savings. I can't get my hands on figures for the real cost of printing (including paper, ink, hardware and maintenance of hardware) to be able to work out how many meetings you'd have to attend (and papers you'd need to read) before the iPad paid for itself...

Thatkas ofr this interesting post Niall.

For years there has been talk and suggestion about the paperless office which of course is never really going to happen (no seriuosly it is not going to happen as much as we would like it to) but a paperless meeting is always something I felt was possible with a little effort. Technology has maybe been a bit of a hinderance in the past but the post here suggests that we might just about be there.

One caveat of course is that all attendees need ipads or some other technology just as accessible and useable. Short term investment for long term gain maybe?

With note taking the guys at good reader have told me this is coming to their app soon. It is something I really want so if you find any other solution please tell me.

Also if you want more comments you might want to consider setting up a more open comment system with open authentication making this comment was a bit of hassle on an iPad I started reading in flipboard, then had to register, go to email copy the password and then to safari. There are esaier ways! :)
